There's loads of those in Scandinavia.

There's one Absolut Icebar in Stockholm and up north they even make hotels and opera stages over the winter, taking the ice from Tornio river. Weddings are very popular there. Not the river, but the hotel church.

I think I saw that ice bar on the Amazing Race. Cool.

I have a parka like that one, only shorter and shinier.

My dad used to work 10 minutes away from there. We used to go there and pick blackberries and drink water from the creek and other hokey shit like that.

I still prefer it to The Capilano suspension bridge, which seems safe and sturdy enough to drive a Civic over, and is therefor missing that element of danger that the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge still kinda retains. But it's still nothing like the old days when people were dying in that canyon every other month.

haha, thanks all.

venus, everyone; you should definitely check it out. it's awesome. you can only spend 45 minutes in there cos apparently it gets too cold for comfort. it's not so bad at first but my poor little feet were starting to get sore towards the end. in a good, drunk way! you also have to book in advance so get down there quicksharp! we had lunch upstairs afterwards and it was delicious, too, even though the cocktails were a shocking £9.50!!!! needless to say we stuck to wine. although for afters we had a "warm martini" which was basically condensed milk, vanilla vodka, kahlua, butterscotch schnapps and white chocolate sauce all heated up and absolutely delicious. YUM!

p.s. see, heiress has albino wolf pups on her doorstep! she's proper canadian, yo!

freebasser: too sweet. too sweet!

she's a pearl of a girl, i guess that's what you might say

I just grew a soul patch when I saw how hard E and Tom Waits rocked them. No joke. I'll have to post more pictures to prove that that was just a fluke.
