A Universal Tip
I just felt this needed to be said: Too often do I download a fresh remix by one of y'all just to find that the vocals are taking the backseat to the beat. Now, I understand that the point of remixing is to stress the new production, but we must remember that the lyrics for these tracks are the main focus. Not only does it kinda of do the original track injustice, but it makes the whole remix just sound kinda funny. It's kind of odd when the beat's in the forefront and there's this talking going on in the background. Moral of the story, if you've got a beat that's so important that the lyrics aren't important, then just drop the vocals; otherwise it defeats the purpose of a remix. Now, I'm not naming names or claiming that everybody does this, but it's definitely the case the majority of the time. I say this because I really dig a lot of the stuff posted here and hate to hear low-mixed vocals ruin the ultimate experience. In closing though, keep up the good work y'all.
