I've said it before. I don't have an era, but I have an anti-California thing. No good music comes from people from CA. This has been my credo (sp?) since about 1978. (I'm taking X and similar bands out of this and going for the mainstream, so don't mention X!)

People like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell who have lived in CA but are Canadian also do not count. But there have been times when even they were nearly taken down by the CA thing.

I don't really care where the Eagles were born and I'm sure Linda Ronstadt and Stevie Nicks are from the SW somewhere, but they are part of the CA rock that ruined my teenage radio-listening years.
