Default nacho cheese

some genius out there really needs to invent a nacho cheese that doesn't make your chips all soggy. it's fuckn' gross when you bite into a chip covered in nacho cheese and half of it is nice and crisp and the other have that is covered in the cheese is all soggy and disgusting

i don't have this problem

layer of chips, sauce cheese, rinse and repeat. spread it all evenly, bake, perfect nachos.

when i buy them usually its the sauce that makes them soggy not the cheese.

instead of pouring the cheese beforehand, take the jar along with you and dip the chips. no more soggy chips man.

c'mon dude, the only setback is once the jar empties, it gets progressively harder to dip. other than that, you should seriously consider.

How can you fuck up nacho cheese and chips? Maybe your chips are soggy because you left them in overnight.

I usually mix bean dip and the nacho cheese together. It cuts down on the sogginess

i don't usually bother making guac for nachos, but when i have tacos i make up some guacamole and then mix sour cream in with it.

and are you guys eating some kind of liquid cheese? don't you just grate cheese onto the nachos?

In N.Z the 24 hour delis have machines with big taps that pour it out, it's the bomb. I could put it in my hair.

Yeah, me too. I just use grated cheddar cheese. Guacamole is a bit over the top, but I enjoy it when you order a plate of nachos out and they give you it. I wouldn't do it for my own nachos. In fact I rarely put sour cream on, just the salsa and cheese for me

The solution to this problem lies not in the cheese, but chips that resist sogginess from various chip-cuisine accoutrements. They might make you constipated though...

we have nacho cheese flavoured doritos but that's it. most people here can work out what kind of cheese to grate on without the need for a special "nacho" cheese.

I think the nacho cheese incorporates the salsa/nachos topping and the cheese and the sour cream. They have it at the football, you get some cornchips and this tub of orange stuff...and they call it nachos

concise.

soggy chips are pretty nasty tho. they're only good when they're at the bottom of a cheese melt casserole.
