![]() with over 20 years of experience I still must say "Reign in Blood" is probably going to stay the best metal album ever made by man. "God Hates Us All" became quite close.
songs that I will never get bored of - in no particular order: - Epidemic - Jesus Saves - Bloodline - War Ensemble - Read Between The Lies - Dittohead - Serenity in Murder - and their version of "guilty of being white" on Undisputed Attitude is just unbeatable by any standards. "richard hung himself", too. awesoma covas.

reign in blood is lovely as is god hates us all. i love the way Slayer don't care about what critics think about their albums. best song? hmmm.... i can't choose. my favourite would be Criminally Insane.

![]() Raining Blood/Reign In Blood.
Rick Rubin tends to bring out the best in the artists he works with. At first, anyway.

![]() What's happen' Lemmy's Liver?
I hadn't checked on in months and needless to say am elated to participate in this thread. I must be the lone wolf on this one but the disc that gets the most play is still after all the years Diabolus in Musica. Point is a masterpiece and I wish they'd embrace that song live instead of Stain of Mind~which is one of that LP's weakest and they seem to only play from that LP. My other favorites from each LP are as follows Show No Mercy ~ Metalstorm/Face the Slayer Haunting the Chapel EP ~ title track and it only Hell Awaits ~ One of the greatest beginnings of a song eva, unfortunately it falls apart once the singing kicks in. So my $'s on Necrophiliac RiB ~ Alter of Sacrifice to Jesus Saves to Criminally Insane SoH ~ Live Undead Seasons ~ I'm not too crazy about that one but Temptation is the LP in spades Divine ~ Same as above but 213 is that LP's Temptation~it was poorly mixxed and I can't ever get that record to sound right UA ~ Gemini and DRI's Violent Pacification ; Great record start to finish And that brings us back to DiM~ Death's Head, Overt Enemy, Desire(strange song no?), Screaming from the Sky and of course Point Then on 9/11 2001 Slayer delivered once again with Tom once again screaming like a banshee being put through a wood chipper. Stand out track for me is Exile.....which is another song they don't seem to want to play live Now that Dave's back in the saddle I look forward to hear what they're going to deliver this next go round. KK says it should be a cross bw RiB and Seasons. As long as it has anything as quality as Temptation then I'll have to say they still got the goods. Did anyone ever listen to the Testament LP that had James Murphy from Death's Human LP and Dave on drums? I can't find it. |

How bout this: Greatest Live Performance available to the mass market? My $'s on Live Intrusion....Yep, I like that better than RIB:Still Reining. Only wish that it was available on DVD in 5.1. That will come out the same day as Iron Maiden's "Live After Death" in 5.1 sound Hey I can dream can't I? Venom just put out a live DVD 20 years after their heyday |
