LA has like 4 million people, Minneapolis has like 300,000. On a per capita basis, those kinds of stats make me a little uneasy.

Im not concerned about it in regards to me. The area I live consists of petty crime at worst.


2 of the 4 were random though. Wrong place, wrong time. Its just discouraging because there is already too much fucking urban sprawl here...and all city crime does is spread it out further when suburbanities get paranoid.

Oakland is the murder capital of the USA, I think. It sure seems that way, from the media, at least.

I was at a gas station this evening and had visions of a drive by. The better half and the two boys were in the car. I did not feel very street.

LAst year was the highest rate of murder in ireland for over 10 years, but most of it is gangland related.To be honest, i could care less about drug dealers shooting each other, let them at it. its when randomers get caught up in it when its a problem. There was a hit done on a big gang leader just before Christmas and they went into his house to do him and also in the house was 19 year old plumber who got done for simply being there, fairly fucked up.
