Girlfriend appreciation thread

I had an amazing weekend with my girlfriend. She's an incredible person. I look back at last year at this time and my life was in a flipped upsidedown chaos and if it wasn't for some good-hearted generous friends, some cleansing booze, and perserverance (yes I can't spell, fuck off) who know where the hell I would be now.

I'm in a good place. it's good to have finally met a girl who prefers to give rather than to get. After too long of give, give, give in a one-sided awful relationship, it feels good to be loved and appreciated.

choices come in our lives and often they challenge us or tear us apart. ultimately it is what's inside that makes us strong, the stuff we've been carrying all along. for so long I chased something heavy and larger, when all the while all I had to do was take a step back and look at the small details, making coffee, smelling the air in the morning, enjoying my time with my family and friends. One never knows when those things could leave, it's up to us to enjoy each and every day.
