i haven't realized how many gangs are in my school

or my neighborhood, kinda got a reality check when i was at my high school i ditched the day to kick it with my fellow freshman buddies and a junior and the junior was telling me bout all the krews and gangs that "belong" to our school and the ones that belong to other high schools in the area.

like shit i thought there'd be only like one or two and this dude was naming like fuckin 20. girl krews and guy ones too. and i almost witnessed a gang fight too cuz as i was talking to him a shady lookin group of guys across the street were eyeing him and he told me that the guy there is a "main head" of his rival crew and he pulls out a knife and tells me "lets see if anything is gonna go down right now" and thankfully nothing did.

the only krews i knew about were the female crews cuz i know sum girls in them they have their tagging all over and one of my friends sadly is in juvenile hall right now, she pounded her boyfriend's ex girlfriends head to the concrete floor and fucked up her face so badly she got arrested for it

and the guy i have a crush on is in a graffiti crew and i hear over the summer he almost got shot. so when i start my freshman year i'm scared that i even look at somebody the wrong way and i'm gonna get my ass kicked

gangs are cool. I'm the co founder of one. we're a surfer provocation gang. unfortunately we don't really have any weapons of any kind, apart from our caustic tongues which we use to mock our surfer friends, and surfers in general.

i was recently talking to my cousin who is a tagger about this he's been shot at before to and was under house arrest (got caught wrtinig) and he says L.A has too many crews that its insane and impossible to try to even keep up with all of them.
