It's $1.17 a liter here, which is about $4.42 a gallon. Needless to say, I don't use my car much, except for grocery shopping. And a roadtrip this summer.

so thats like 5 bucks a gallon. Its even higher in places like newfoundland where its like 1.40 or so a litre.

I heard it's supposed to hit $1.80 a liter in BC this summer...around your way, in Kamloops. Not sure if that's true or not.

And A-Z, I have no idea what our gas tax covers. I know that our high alcohol/cigarette prices help pay for health insurance though.

It's $3.40 here, and Tulsa is one of the ten cheapest cities. Apparently it's gonna reach $4 here. By July. I can't imagine how bad it's gonna be for those of you who aren't lucky enough to live in one of the "cheap" cities.

i remember back around 2000 before shit hit the fan, hearign some analyst say that gas could possibly go to 90$ a barrel in the near future....and the rest of the pundits and monkeys were saying "no way!Impossible!"

just yesterday i heard someone on the radio say oil could be at 200$ a barrel by next year...that almost double the price that we are paying now...last i heard it was 115$ a barrel??

as much of a pain in the ass it is to pay more, and take a hit financially...for me its making me not want to drive anymore. i hope it has that affect on others too. and i hope that out of it we find better ways of creating energy and living our lives.

i also am bothered by the ethanol/food shortage shit that is going down. that has to stop.

It was $115 a couple of weeks ago, not sure what it is now. I have a friend who works at an oil company here, so I always find out the price way before everyone else. Not that it really matters, as I don't drive.

Europe's pretty bad. America is actually #111 on the list of "most expensive" gas in the world which isn't bad in the grand scheme of things. However, Venezuela is the #1 cheapest, at 14 cents a gallon. Crazy shit.

I know someone that follows this closely that says the big $ players are buying Puts on RB...However, he said that yesterday and spot market has gone up 2 cents since then. This is a great time to invest and reap the whirlwind of these discerning events: Commodities as a whole are going up. I wish there was an option on Rice bc it's as high as a cats back here. I decided to quit looking at the pump. I got gas again today and I have no idea what the price was per gallon or how much I put on my credit card. I guess I'm in denial.

P.S. This isn't all about the real price of oil you know. A lot of this increase has to do with our shitty dollar being worth less than it used to be.
