Default 3 MCs and 2 DJs

Ever notice that Hurricane (aka Wendall Fite) got a writing credit on 3MCs. Anyone know that back story to this?

Always curious what went down or how the song was originally supposed to be arranged. Bet Hurra had a verse or two.

someone just posted about that, I thought it was here but maybe it was the old twitter. wish i could find it.

there was an old clip of pre MMM days that came out recently, when a random line came up during one of their shows, and they dropped the "cause nobody can do it... like hurricane can, come on..."

i paraphrase.

perhaps since that was once credited to Fite or inspired by him they gave him the credit on Hello Nasty

I could have sworn that was discussed on a Brouhaha episode. Might not have been. But I'm pretty sure it was. Now which episode, I'm not sure.

Best laugh I've had all week. I didn't ask for details. I just asked why he got writing credit on the song, and the response back was that he wrote the chorus.

The "nobody can do it like _____ can" line comes from the Kool Moe Dee vs. Busy Bee Battle (that's one you should now): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2slDZDMtHg

So I don't think Hurricane can take credit for it.

The kool moe vs. busy bee battle has been one the biggest influences on the beasties careers.

Here are some more refrences they have used from the song:

Drunken praying mantis sample
Refrenced in root down
"Cocaine crew say blow" - four fly guys
I can do the patty duke - shake your rump / get it together
Where's that place we working out - same routine done in the live version of the maestro from the root down e.p.
The sex routine - they did this same routine when opening for the Madona tour
kicks of your shoes and relax your socks - Intergalactic
signing off routine - Squat

Another intresting note, Mix Master Mike wasnt the first dj with that name. The Crash Crew's dj also had a dj named mix master mike.
