![]() For real, I'm dealing with contractors and shit, and they got a lot of stuff done right, but when it comes down to finishing stuff, it's like pulling teeth. I'm like, "build the table this way", and they're like, "well, I dunno, you're a woman, let's wait til a man tells me different". And so they build the table dumb and have to redo the whole thing exactly the way I instructed from the start.
And the fucking conduit is just like in the middle of a wall, god damn it. And oh hey, why are the fixtures in the wrong spot? answer: "I dunno, the floor plan is around here somewhere" *floor plan never gets found*. And I'm like man, fuck y'all. I have a million other grievances!!! gah! Why am I a better carpenter than a legit carpenter?! Why do worker mens just blankly stare at me when I give them very reasonable instructions? And be like "well, I don't know if that will work", and then they fucking do it and it works?! jesus fucking christ! I need to move to another planet! |

![]() it seems like help the contractors hire, not the guys running the show, always seem to be major burn outs and just plain dirtbags. it's like they can't get anyone else to work for them.

anyway, it's like people don't think. they just do whatever they think will be easy, but then it turns out to be harder because they didn't think it through. And god forbid if I suggested a solution to a problem that was very fucking obvious. It had to filter through 3 other men before getting changed to what I already suggested...then presented to me as if they had thought of it anyway. ![]() I'm just flabbergasted. I'm held to such a high standard by my bosses and clients...and these fuckers for sure make more money than I do and they're like "la la la, this is fine, I don't know what you're talking about and I don't care". Until I'm like, "hey, please do this right", and they act like I'm queen bitch and hem and haw all through it. anyway, it's over now. I'm just tired and venting. |

![]() sometimes its worse for a company to fire people than it is to just keep them on staff doing a shitty job.

plus so many other instances like this. it's really bothersome. I think mainly because I'm always so anxious about doing a good job. I guess I can just relax because so many other people suck so bad. That's kinda shitty, but might save my nerves. |

![]() I've wondered this too. I've had to work for lots of people who are generally in marketing and don't know anything about anything - they're just sort of vapid idea people who mostly send email and vaunt their "people skills."
It's not so much that they're idiots, which I could forgive - it's the fact that I make up for their shortcomings and do my best to produce something amazing and I'm sure I get paid less than they do. Then I compare how much I get paid to most of the people I interact with at the supermarket or gas station or whatever and count my blessings instead.

![]() It's very hard to fire someone in a corporate setting, I've seen shit heads get demoted and moved around but never fired. I think companies are scared of wrongful termination lawsuits.
My own brother has problems with his shitty real estate lawyer.... He actually abandoned the whole mortgage process and rented somewhere because of it. Didn't get a new lawyer, just bailed on the situation. Cant explain it. My only guess is there are some really fucking stupid ppl out there who we hire because they give good first impressions either on a job interview or via a sales pitch for their service. Oh yeah.... You know what's Stunning to me, how shitty some tax accountants are. Some guys are sickening how incompetent they are. I'm not even talking knowledge of subject, but simple shit like actually submitting client paperwork to the IRS on time. An accountant once told a friend her being audited was her own fault and that she didn't check his work..... That would be like going to the doctors then double checking his work on WEBmd. No absolutely not.
