Yeah we didn't play too well. Diouf was awful today. Two gifts and he failed to get even one of them on target :(

Wolves probably deserved a point - they dominated for large parts of the second half and we got off lightly with that chance that Vokes skied.

Still - top, what what?

what happened to freedom of speech?

Anyway,I think THE only way to get the Glazer scum out is for ALL fans to boycott matches and stop buying 'made in sweatshops' gear at the superstore. Most UTD games are on fucking TV anyway.

like you said earlier we have moved on BUT i have to say that despite that campbell challenge being a good one it was a very hard challenge and i would have been interested in wengers reaction if it'd been the other way round.

hope wayne gets to 30 PL goals, he deserves to join that club. i cant see him breaking ronnies club record of 42 though but he might come close

nice one:D

yeah, it smacks of employing someone cheap who is ok with managing in the championship. he's got nothing to lose.
hull have some good players but they also have some toss.
cant see anything but hull, pompey and burnley going down. bolton and wigan have got tough run ins tho.

Fantastic result for Fulham...truly mindblowing!

yup. there's sometimesa team who goes on a mental run in the uefa cup. middlesborough, rangers both got beat in the final after crazy results. I dunno if they can do it but i think the draw has been as kind as possible but i think they would have to be lucky to get to final.
Tbh, i think going a goal down really helped them as they had nothing to lose at that point and went for it which put juve under pressure which meant resulted in the rock that is cannavarro getting sent off but they still had to do it but i think it was a birrova freak result

good draw for united, avoided all the teams i wanted to.

United v Inter Final.

I don't get this fear about Barcelona. Yes, they are good, but they are only a football team. They're not even top in their own league at the moment....(albeit on goal difference)

If they are as good as people say, then if we are to have any chance of winning the Champions League this year we'd have to play them at some stage. Might as well be now.

Plus, they are sneaky gits. Everyone loves them, I don't. They're always trying to steal players. Fuck 'em.

they are very very good at getting and then keeping the ball, thats the issue, its very hard to beat them if you cant retain possession.

plus every bloody club has the odd attempt to steal players and contentious transfers so i dont blame for that. No one is bad as Real Madrid for that

I understand why they are good at football etc. I just don't see the reason to be so worried.

Every club has the odd attempt, Barca do it alot. Plus, saying they are not as bad as someone else doesn't absolve them.

well, while you are right about having to play the best sides to win stuff, i think that barca and man u stand out as top quality in the eight teams left so maybe thats why they are feared, also barca are european champions and have kind of earned the right to be feared if that makes sense. its just respect for their players and recent record in the competition.

aye carumba

there are a very small handful of clubs who by reputation alone, players (young or old) will be ready to sign the moment there is even a hint of interest. I'd say Man U, Real, Barca , AC , maybe a coupla others. And a lot of that gets misconstrued as us tapping up players but even when these clubs make tentative enquiries the kid usually has set his sights on joining. Now i am not saying these clubs havent tapped up players. I cant prove that either way, i'm just saying its not a case of tapping up every time.

Chelsea also had their transfer ban magically rescinded - guess they had a good firm grip on the right tackle too, eh?

As well as the ban they received for tapping up Gael Kakuta, they've also been found guilty of and fined for tapping up Ashley Cole, and John Obi Mikel - a player who they had to pay Manchester United and Lyn Oslo £16 million collectively in compensation because they illegally moved in on a signed contract between the two clubs and the player.

Most of United's youngsters come through from official feeder clubs, like Sporting Lisbon in the case of Ronaldo and Nani. You also seem to have forgtten that most of Manchester United's success over the last 2 decades is built on an entire team of youth players, the majority of whom hail from the Salford and Manchester area. Giggs, Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville, Butt, Beckham, Brown, Fletcher, O'Shea, Gibson, Evans etc etc etc.

what a banger in the mouth the guy rose from tottenham scored on his debut tonight against arsenal. fantastic strike. almunia blows. shitty punch then he fans on the shot. arsenal need to get a top notch keeper if they want to be a top notch club, they almost have the players, when they arent hurt anyways. but very few top class clubs dont have top class goalies.

Guy Incognito

it was a shit punch but there was no way he was getting to that wonder strike. if rose were to break his leg tomorrow he will always be remembered by tottenham fans. what a dream, 10 mins into his debut and he does that. goal of the season contender.
spent the evening with two spurs fans, they were on top of the world. sets saturday up very niceley indeed. all to play for now, just hope they carry momentum into their game against chelsea and do us a favour.

Almunia should have done better, despite it being a belter.

interesting tidbit of information....anyone else aware that Mido is only making £1,000 a week at West Ham, making him the lowest paid Premier League footballer by some way?The funniest bit is that him and Ibrahimovic were about on par when they were at Ajax (when they weren't throwing scissors at eachother in the dressing room... no really).

I think it was Mido that said that him and Ibrahimovic would be the best in Europe some day. He was half right :D

almunia couldnt do much, i think it looked worse but i think he was still postioning after the punch but he was never stopping that. it was too quick.

i gotta say that i have gained a bit of lost respect for campbell after last night, the way he took the crowd on at the start and seemed to thrive off the reception was awesome, easily arsenals best player last night

if i were still a gambling man i would put money on RVP for golden boot in south africa, he's fresh , in a good side, in a fairly easy group and he's 33-1. his first touch last night was tremendous.

it was one of the games of the season, it really was, it had everything. i watched with two spurs fans amongst others at a mates house and we had a good atmosphere. I had far too many questionable songs in my head afterwards about wenger which i dont condone but i was amazed at how many there were!

yeah on form he is, but he has looked decidely average and made to look stupid a few times by ordinary players and he's got to sort it out cos he will be the scapegoat if we do shit over there, you can sense the press are just waiting to go batshit on him. on form he is a terrific defender and a great motivator but he's not right at the minute. if its him and ferdinand we should do okay. upson? never seen it. dawson? playing well, could get on the plane. campbell? too slow but playing well.

well when you've proven yourself to be not a particularly good person, all you've got left is to be a good player. not being either just makes you a loser.

be a shame for his emotional problems to cost England. on current form that seems like a distinct possibility. he needs to get his head down and sort it out. his teammates deserve better.

Guy Incognito
04-20-2010, 04:20 PM
^ agreed, but when he is concentrating on sorting his football out its like he is putting too much pressure on himself, trying too hard if you like, making challenges he doesnt need to. plus i dont buy for one minute that it wont affect his relationship with some in the england team, you'll never hear anything about it but he will have lost respect in some quarters of the team and thats not good for spirit

"I am going to Barcelona in the summer," said the Russian, according to The People.

"I have always dreamed about going to Spain and playing for the best team in the world.

''They were unsure about me when I was playing in Russia but I have shown them that I'm the real deal and I know they are ready to talk to me.

"I want to play for the top team and be trying to win every competition, I don't think you can rate one better than the other, it is all about winning. I want to play for them and that is never going to change.

"I know Gael Clichy would love to play out there as well, and he would work well in their team."

Chelsea were worthy winners. They were my pick at the start of the season. Strong squad, just needed a good manager.

no complaints here, we give it our best, if we'd got a point against them at OT then things might be different.
chelsea scored a shitload of goals including 7 against two teams that we didnt beat at home.
good things happened for us and we exceeded most peoples expectations from the start of the season, although i have to concede and say that we would have probaby won it with ronaldo. But rooney wouldnt have come on so much if he was still here. i hope berba gets one more season but not sure he will.
I believe michael owen might go, apparently he has agreed to play in jamie carraghers testimonial for the liverpool side. thats not going to go down very well.
