Yep, the Corn is the Albino. He's got a light sort of milky Pink coloration, hence the name "Pinkerton." They get to about 6' or so, and he's at 4 1/2'. He's got a bit to go, but he's by no means a baby.
I started out with Garter snakes. I would suggest those as a good beginner snake. They're hearty, eat a wide variety of stuff, easy to take care of, don't get too huge, and tame down very nice. I had one that would follow me around the house.
The mice thing can be tough. I've been feeding mice to my snakes since I was in grade school, but my girlfriend still get's a little "awww" when I happen to feed a "cute" one to 'em. I don't blame her....but that's life, they've gotta eat.
