This Top 8 thing on myspace is ridiculous

My friend just called, and there's this guy that apparently really liks her. She goes "well if he likes me that much he should at least put me on his top 8. I mean you're in his top 8".

I said "It's just myspace...I wouldn't worry about it too much".

Someone was talking about how they got "myspace bitch-slapped" because they were deleted off someone's top 8.

So fucking stupid.

Dandy, I f*ing know exactly what you are talking about. I wish Tom never created the top 8 option....so much drama with my friends...its sick. It's frickin myspace.

The people that are on my top 8 are the people that I see on a daily basis....

I do like the Top 8 function. It allows you to display the people that mean the most to you, rather than just the normal random 8 (besides, does Tom have to be on EVERYBODY's profile?).

But I totally see the can of worms it's created. While I haven't had problems, I can totally see how whether being on person x's "top 8" can make or break someone's self-esteem from those attention starved emo boys.

I understand joking around about it, but yeah, it's really lame.

I actually had people complain to me about not being in my top 8 or being moved from it... then I took them off my friends list because I finished high school about 5 years ago, I rather not return to it.
